ASEM Outlook Workshop (Brussels, 15-16 April 2010)

On 15-16 April 2010, the Asia-Europe Foundation, the Belgian government and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung organised the ASEM Outlook Workshop in Brussels. In view of the ASEM 8 Summit, hosted by Belgium on 4-5 October 2010, the ASEM Outlook Workshop was intended to exchange views on the working methods of ASEM as well as on the emergent issues that could influence ASEM’s future agenda.

In a very lively and convivial atmosphere, participants from across all ASEM countries had a fruitful and constructive debate on how ASEM has come to where it is today as well as on what possibilities there are for improving ASEM’s working methods for the future. Ideas and suggestions have been collected and could usefully be fed into an intergovernmental discussion on the working methods of ASEM.

The report of the Workshop is now made available in the appropriate section of this website and on the website of the Asia-Europe Foundation.
